Engaging Learners with Autism Spectrum Disorder (On Demand)
Part Two of the Children's Autism Foundation, 'Understanding Autism', webinar series.
This webinar will give you practical and effective strategies for engaging learners with Autism in various settings.
Building on the information covered in Understanding Learners with Autism Spectrum Disorder, this webinar focuses on how children with Autism learn best. It will introduce evidence-based/best practice strategies that, teachers and support staff can put into place immediately.
In this webinar, we will cover strategies you can use in distance learning/online teaching and in the classroom.
What you'll learn
- How children with ASD learn best
- Strategies to engage learners with ASD in the classroom.
- Strategies that can be implemented immediately, even via distance learning.
Anyone, who is teaching or supporting in education (teacher assistance, learning support, school counsellors, SenCo's) who are new to ASD, and those needing a 'refresher'. People wanting practical, easy to implement ideas. Also, anyone with an interest in ASD, as it is suitable for different sectors
I have always found the presenters at Children's Autism Foundation equipped with a wealth of knowledge especially with the needs of ASD being so complex and diverse. I feel the skills and strategies I have picked up have helped with all learners in the classroom and made a difference to those especially needing the extra support. These are definitely workshops that I look forward to attending and encourage others to do so too.
