Number fluency is essential for continuing development in mathematics. Fluency involves conceptual understanding and not just automaticity. The key to fluency is sustained enjoyable practice. In this workshop we will examine what fluency is, with insights from research. We will also explore games and puzzles that develop fluency with multiplication facts.
